On September 17th at 9:43 pm, Miss Karis Eliana finally made her appearance in the world. My wonderful husband (who is the best labor partner a woman could ever ask for!) wrote a little post about it and uploaded some pictures for everyone to enjoy on our family’s site. You can check it out at The Hesketh Family Blog. I’ll be back to writing posts soon. Just let me get a little more sleep… Ahhh, I remember the nights of uninterrupted sleep so fondly… ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course, when you look in her sweet little face, it all seems to be okay again and totally worth it.

So many of you have been wondering about my progress this week with baby #3 (aka Karis), that I thought I’d do all of us a favor and just write a post about it. Besides, it’s been such a FUN week (read with extreme sarcasm), that I also figured the rest of the mommy world might get a kick out of it, too! Be prepared though, this may be a long one. By the way, if you’re interested in doing an ‘envelope’ style of budgeting but don’t want to actually cash your checks and use physical envelopes, you should check out Mvelopes.com. It’s an online service that allows you to set up virtual envelopes in a web based program and then budget into those directly from your bank account(s) and/or credit card(s). Very cool stuff!

I have a couple of friends that work from home by doing “consulting”. I thought I’d mention them since they are great at what they do, and everyone always enjoys a good PARTY!

If you live in the Houston area and you’re interested in a Tupperware, Creative Memories, or Discovery Toys Party, then I have the gals for you!!! Of course, if you don’t live nearby, you can still visit their sites and order their products online. I’m all about helping out fellow moms who are trying to earn a little extra money from home! ๐Ÿ™‚ Continue reading…

Holy cow!! Great use of visuals to help explain the proposed budget cuts and their actual impact on the overall budget.

You’ll never fold tshirts the same way again!

If you ever wanted to hear someone put a mommy’s day into a song, try this one! (I guarantee you’ll laugh your butt off.)

A little on the political side, but interesting nonetheless…
