Nursing Wrap/Shawl/Sling: Until this baby came along, I nursed the old-fashioned way with a blanket. You’ve probably seen it before. The frustrated, struggling mom with a corner of a blanket in her mouth or under her chin as she tries to get a screaming baby latched on underneath all the while trying to be discreet and not show off all her stuff. Of course, she can’t see what she’s doing, and baby is kicking and flailing which causes it all to take 42 times longer than it ever should. Then Shawn asked her, “Did Santa eat the cookies we left out for him?” She gasped again, and said, “I don’t know…” as she ran into the living room to see the empty plate with just a few crumbs carefully placed in the middle. (Did I mention what great Daddy Shawn is??)

We decorated for Christmas this past weekend and of course had an absolute blast. We had the Christmas music playing while we unwrapped ornaments from Christmases long ago and put them on our live tree. (Love that fresh pine smell in my house!)

Holy cow!! Great use of visuals to help explain the proposed budget cuts and their actual impact on the overall budget.

You’ll never fold tshirts the same way again!

If you ever wanted to hear someone put a mommy’s day into a song, try this one! (I guarantee you’ll laugh your butt off.)

A little on the political side, but interesting nonetheless…
